Family Learning
We run a variety of courses for parents throughout the year in partnership with organisations such as Hertford Regional College (HRC), Hertfordshire Adult and Family Learning Service (HAFLS) and the Workers Educational Association (WEA). Sometimes our own staff also run parenting courses or we use people recommended to us for one off workshops.
These courses are often run on a Wednesday afternoon and we are usually able to provide a crèche for babies and preschool children. These crèches are run by our own permanent staff, assisted by experienced staff from local schools and preschools. All our staff working in the crèche are qualified and have current CRB checks.
Our course programme is planned each term and we try to accommodate requests from parents. If there is anything you would like us to put on, please let us know.
The courses we have run include:
- Beginners Computer course
- The Parenting Puzzle
- Understanding Teens (girls and boys)
- Fussy Eaters workshop
- Funky Food – cookery for parents and children together
- Learning through play
- Family First Aid for babies and children
- Healthy Living – exercise and nutrition for parents
- Practical Parent Helper
- Baby Massage
