The Beane Valley Toy Library
Reserve your toys today
See our current activity timetable for opening hours.
Children grow out of toys so quickly, or become bored with them, why not borrow instead of buying? Get ideas for presents, try things out before you buy, or just ring the changes. Our Toy Library always welcomes new members and our Toy Library Co-ordinator would be pleased to recommend toys according to your child’s age and interests.
We hope you and your children will enjoy the toys we have in stock.
In order to join, you will need to complete a membership form with your name and address and pay an annual membership fee of £3. Once you have joined, our range of toys will be available for hire for a small fortnightly charge. All that we ask is that the toys are returned to us in good condition with all the pieces. We do understand that, at times, toys will be broken or lost so please do not worry. Just return all the pieces and we will try to repair or replace it. There is no limit to the number of toys that can be borrowed at any time, but we ask that they are returned in their correct boxes or bags to enable us to prepare them for loan to other members. A picture is enclosed so that you can check that all pieces are included.
The toy library is based in the Children’s Centre at Watton at Stone primary and nursery school. Please come to the main entrance and ask for the Toy Library. Toys can also be ordered and collected at our Stay and Play sessions held in other villages.
Should you have any queries please contact us by phone or email. We welcome feedback on our service and would be interested in any suggestions for new additions to the library. However, we are unable to stock very large items due to a lack of storage space.
Please note: we are unable to accept donations of used toys.
During the school holidays we also run Storysacks Sessions on Wednesdays 2.00 - 3.30. Check our current programme for details.
You can browse our catalogue online and place an order. You will be contacted when your toys are available for collection.
We also have a range of information books for parents which can be borrowed free of charge.
