FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions:

Your question not answered here?.. then do not hesitate to contact us!
We don’t live in the Beane Valley area, can we still come to your sessions?

Yes we do not restrict our sessions in any way at the moment. However, if we get to the stage where we are too busy to accommodate everyone, we will give priority to those who live in our area. All areas have their own Children’s Centre now, so you may want to check out one nearer home.

I have already registered at another Children’s Centre. Do I need to fill in your form too?

Yes please. We would like to add you to our mailing list and email list so that we can keep you informed of the events happening at the Children's Centre.  (And completing one of our forms will earn you a free gift too!)

How much does it cost to come to the Children’s Centre?

Most of our sessions now cost £2 per family. We charge a small fee for some courses (eg £10 for First Aid and £15 for Baby Massage). However, most parenting courses, our Bumps and Babes Coffee Mornings and Chatterbox speech and language group are free.  We do not want parents to be put off coming because they cannot afford the charges. Please phone or email the centre, or speak to a member of staff in confidence if you would like the charges reduced.

How do you know the staff are suitable to work with children?

We put the safety and security of young children at the top of our priorities. All our staff and volunteers are checked by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and we take up references before they start. All the staff have been trained in Safeguarding Children and are qualified and experienced in working with children.
